Iconic Collection - Celebrating Black Hair and Culture

All the conditions were set for a good nights rest tonight, yet here I am 3:20 in that mutha freakin morning being obedient to that subtle voice that was so loud that I could not rest. One of the things I heard clearly was get back to the basics and communicate to the people what motivates you to create.

So, I'm  here to talk about some new pieces that I have created for an upcoming Fashion Show. The funny thing is, I vowed that I was not going to do another fashion show this year, mainly because I have some goals I plan to accomplish by the end of the year and I need the time and resources to do that.

I could not resist African hair and Black culture, for that is my jam. So, I said yes when asked to be one of the fashion designers for a fashion show of an upcoming Barber Beauty Expo celebrating our hair.

It did not take long for the creative wheel in my head to start turning. Until finally I came up with the idea to celebrate some of the most iconic people of our culture who had unforgettable natural hair. If I were to say each of their names most people would see an image in their mind of that person because  they have left such an impression on the culture. I call the collection ICONIC because they all are. I am sure I will add more  to the collection overtime, but I wanted to share with you what I have created thus far.

Introducing the ICONIC Collection featuring Lauryn Hill, Grace Jones, Dianna Ross, Bob Marley and Jean Michel Basquiat.

The designs are vibrantly colored, aesthetically pleasing and sure to garner attention and spark conversations because this is what SoulSeed Apparel does. If you want to see them on the runway in a choreographed production come out to Jax Elite Barber and Beauty Expo happening July 29th and 30th at the Prime Osborne Center in Jacksonville, Florida.

If you think of other icons with remarkable natural hair get at me.
